All NJ counties are considered medium to low COVID-19 community levels.  New Jersey Audubon highly recommends that anyone who is not fully vaccinated, wants additional protection, or comes from a higher community level area should consider wearing a mask and social distancing, especially indoors.  Please do not come to a program if you are sick, have a sick family member or have reason to believe you may have been exposed to the COVID-19 virus

Join CMBO naturalists for this 2-hour walk around the Cape May Point State Park and beyond! Not watching birds when in Cape May is like not visiting the Grand Canyon when in Arizona! Join us for a relaxed morning of birding whether you are a seasoned birder or have never really watched birds on purpose before PREREGISTRATION REQUIRED COST: $6 members, $10 nonmembers. Be sure to check the forecast in advance and dress in layers appropriate for prevailing weather conditions. The weather in Cape May can differ considerably from nearby inland areas and may be warmer, colder, or windier so it’s best to be over prepared. We may have to bird in the rain, so please bring your rain gear. TRANSPORTATION: We may walk up to 1.5 miles, over generally level, sometimes muddy or sandy terrain. Some trips involve walks over jetties. CANCELLATION: NJ Audubon’s CMBO programs are virtually never cancelled. If we cancel, due to lack of participation, severe weather, or unforeseen circumstances, all participants will be notified as soon as possible and are eligible for a full refund. Participants may cancel without penalty if greater than 48 hours in advance. Sorry, no refund for cancellations less than 48 hours in advance unless due to health emergencies; however, registrations can be transferred to another program in the future. Bring your little naturalist for a nature-based program featuring a story, a mini-hike, outdoor activity, and a craft. Each class will focus on an aspect of the natural world, and the story and activity will highlight the theme. This class will meet every Thursday morning, 10:00 to 11:00, May 5 to June 9. For children ages 3 - 5 and one parent or caregiver. You must pre-register, walk-ins will not be allowed to participate. Ticket sales ends at 9:00 AM on the Wednesday before each class. Join Capt. Bob and CMBO naturalists aboard The Osprey for a wonderful exploration of Cape May’s back bays and salt marsh islands. The very best Cape May sunsets await as you cruise by nesting Osprey and seek out elusive Clapper Rails - all with the most spectacular of natural backdrops! The Osprey is a 37' pontoon boat that has a comfortable enclosed cabin with large viewing windows, a front deck with a railing, and a restroom on board. Non-motorized wheelchair accessible.
