Join the staff at Scherman Hoffman to celebrate Earth Day as we hike North to the start of the Passaic River as far as we can go picking up trash and micro garbage. We are participating in the Raritan Headwaters event as a private location. April 12th from 9am -12pm. Stay an hour or stay the whole time! IT ONLY TAKES THREE HOURS TO MAKE A BIG IMPACT Trash and litter along a stream is harmful to wildlife, water quality, and human health. Right here, in our watershed, we cleanup 14 tons of trash and debris each year during our Annual Stream Cleanup. In celebration of Earth Day, join the event at Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary to protect rivers and streams that run through your community. It takes over 1,500 volunteers, be one of them! CMBO's experienced staff will also be on hand to help. There are other bargains, some DEMO or LOANER product in the above brands, and some in several other brands too. Most of these are limited to stock on hand. Many of these are already on sale and available at their lowest and greatly reduced price. We will also have a variety of optics accessories, field guides and birding books, and the famous CMBO baseball hats! Instructor: David DesRochers and Phil Witt, Associate Naturalists The summer travel season is approaching. This lecture will cover the principles of travel photography: capturing an establishing location shot; integrating close-up shots into a travelogue; sequencing the shots to tell a story, among other principles. After the lecture, the instructors will review participant images. Students are encouraged to bring a flash drive with two images (preferably RAW) for review and discussion.
