NJ Audubon Early Bird Walks
New Jersey Audubon's Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary 11 Hardscrabble Road, BernardsvilleJoin Ben Barkley, Program Director, for an early bird’s eye view of the fall migration. Join us for an early morning Friday bird walk at Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary. We will survey the morning migrants from the 3rd floor observation deck and then continue onto the trails for a short hike. The length of the hike will depend on bird activity. Registration required at Eventbrite by 4:00pm the day before each walk COST: FREE for Members, Non-Members: $10 Interested in becoming a member? CANCELLATION: NJ Audubon’s programs require a minimum number of registrants to run. If we cancel, due to lack of participation, severe weather, or unforeseen circumstances, all participants will be notified as soon as possible and are eligible for a full refund. Participants may cancel without penalty if greater than 48 hours in advance. Half Day Fridays at Sandy Hook
Early fall birding at the hook: we may encounter anything from shorebirds and terns to flycatchers, sparrows, and warblers. A wide variety of habitats ensure good bird diversity at one of the state’s best spots. Be prepared for 3-4 hours of walking over flat and sandy surfaces. Led by Scott Barnes and associate naturalists. Location: Meet at Parking Lot B, about halfway down the lot by the bathrooms PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED COST: $25 Members, $30 Non-members REGISTER HERE
