Trade candy for binoculars this Halloween! Join us for a fall migration bird walk as we look for warblers, sparrows, raptors, and other feathered travelers passing through on their way south. This walk is designed for all skill levels — whether you've never picked up a pair of binoculars or you're a seasoned birder, you're welcome to join. Costumes are encouraged (comfortable footwear required — we recommend nothing that impedes hiking!). Come dressed as your favorite bird, a black cat, a scarecrow, or whatever spirit moves you. Binoculars and a scope will be available to borrow for those who don't have their own. You must register if you wish to attend. Ticket sales end at 5:00 PM on the day before the event. What to bring: Comfortable walking shoes, weather-appropriate layers, water, and your Halloween spirit. MEETING LOCATION: Green Way Entrance, at the Celery Farm, Allendale. Guides: Karen and Stephanie COST: FREE CANCELLATION: NJ Audubon’s programs require a minimum number of registrants to run. If we cancel, due to lack of participation, severe weather, or unforeseen circumstances, all participants will be notified as soon as possible and are eligible for a full refund. Participants may cancel without penalty if greater than 48 hours in advance. Sorry, no refund for cancellations less than 48 hours in advance unless due to health emergencies; however, registrations can be transferred to another program in the future. REGISTER HERE
