Peregrine Project Exhibit
New Jersey Audubon's Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary 11 Hardscrabble Road, Bernardsville, NJ, United StatesFor the past year, photographer Wayne Quinto Greenstone has been documenting the Peregrine Falcons that have returned to their historic nesting sites along the Palisades Cliffs, some 500 feet above the Hudson River. His extraordinary images and creative renditions will be on display at the Wayrick Wildlife Art Gallery through January 25, 2023. The Art Gallery is open 9am – 5pm Thu, Fri Sat and 12 noon – 5pm on Sunday. Cost: FREE Location: Wayrick Wildlife Art Gallery on the second floor of the Scherman Hoffman Sanctuary, 11 Hardscrabble Rd. in Bernardsville.
Diane Cornell Wildlife Garden Project Event
Classroom/Education Building - Cape May Point State Park NJ, United StatesPlease join us for the first Diane Cornell Wildlife Garden Project Event! Have you been wanting to learn how to transform your backyard habitat to benefit native species? This dual event will provide you with all the information you need to get started! First, learn from local expert, Pat Sutton, who will be presenting on the importance of gardening for wildlife. The presentation will be followed by a guided walk through Cape May Point visiting a few backyard habitats that have been certified by the National Wildlife Federation. Kristin Hock, New Jersey Audubon’s Habitat Outreach Coordinator, will be joining us on the walk to educate guests on how they can get their backyards certified. Harbor Art Gallery Opening Reception – October 2022
Nature Center of Cape May 1600 Delaware Avenue, Cape May, NJ, United StatesTina Giaimo and Carla Schaffer - Featured Artists at the Harbor Gallery in Cape May! The Harbor Gallery is pleased to announce their featured local artists for the month of October. Tina Giaimo and Carla Schaffer will display their works with an opening reception to meet the artists on October 7th from 4-6pm. All artwork is for sale, with a portion of sales going to support the Nature Center of Cape May. Light refreshments will be served. The show will remain on exhibit at the Harbor Gallery for the entire month. Location: The Harbor Gallery is located at New Jersey Audubon’s Nature Center of Cape May at 1600 Delaware Ave, Cape May. The Nature Center will follow all CDC Covid safety guidelines.
The Big Sip at Natali Vineyards

We will be participating in the annual, international birding event, The Big Sit! while enjoying the beautiful outdoor space at Natali Vineyard. Additionally, we will be sharing information about how our Stewardship Team is providing support to our local landowners through their Healthy Land and Waters Grant. We encourage anyone that would like to participate in this event to stop by anytime between 12:00pm to 6:00pm and be sure to enjoy food from one of Cape May’s local food trucks! What is a Big Sit? Apple Cidering
Lorrimer Sanctuary 790 Ewing Avenue, Franklin Lakes, NJ, United StatesLearn how to make apple cider using an old-fashioned cider press and make your own apple stamps at this hour-long family program! Join Lorrimer Sanctuary staff for a fun family program all about apple cider! We'll learn about apple trees and where apples come from, use an old-fashioned cider press to turn our apples into juice (and taste test some delicious and fresh local cider), and make an apple stamp craft too! Children must be accompanied by an adult, this is not a drop-off program. COST: $8 members / $10 nonmembers IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Dress appropriately for the weather. This program is entirely outdoors. Cape May Harbor Beach Sweep and Community Clean-up
Nature Center of Cape May 1600 Delaware Avenue, Cape May, NJ, United StatesJoin us at the Nature Center to help clean our ocean and harbor beaches here in Cape May.  This date coincides with Clean Ocean Action's annual Beach Sweeps. This is a great community service project for your civic organization or scout group.  Additionally, we’ll plant, mulch, deadhead, weed, and prune throughout the Center's grounds and along the harbor. We ask that you bring along your own tools (our supply is limited).  Preregistration is not required; however, if you plan to bring a large group, we would appreciate a call ahead of time. NJ Audubon Annual Canoe Brook Reservoir Bird Count
Canoe Brook Reservoir JFK Parkway, Short Hills, NJ, United StatesThis RESTRICTED ACCESS site is a hot spot for wintering waterfowl. Join us in our annual bird count for NJ American Water. NJ Audubon has been granted access to New Jersey American Water Canoe Brook Reservoir, one of the best places in Essex County for wintering waterfowl. We may catch a glimpse of hawks and perhaps a Bald Eagle. NJ American Water has been collecting our annual count data for almost 20 years! Be a part of conservation.
