Harbor Art Gallery Opening Reception – October 2023
Nature Center of Cape May 1600 Delaware Avenue, Cape May, NJ, United StatesMeghan Kolk and George Reed - Featured Artists at the Harbor Gallery in Cape May! The Harbor Gallery is pleased to announce their featured local artists for the month of October. Meghan Kolk and George Reed will display their works with an opening reception to meet the artists on October 6th from 4-6pm. All artwork is for sale, with a portion of sales going to support the Nature Center of Cape May. Light refreshments will be served. The show will remain on exhibit at the Harbor Gallery for the entire month. Location: The Harbor Gallery is located at New Jersey Audubon’s Nature Center of Cape May at 1600 Delaware Ave, Cape May.
NJ Audubon Employee and Volunteer Art Show
New Jersey Audubon's Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary 11 Hardscrabble Road, Bernardsville, NJ, United StatesThe NJ Audubon Employee and Volunteer Art Show will be opening a the Wayrick Wildlife Art Gallery, located on the 2nd floor of the Scherman Hoffman building. Our volunteers and employees will be displaying their latest and favorite wildlife and natural landscapes artwork between October 7, 2023, and January 31, 2024. Light refreshments will be served on October 7 between 12:30pm and 3pm. The Art Gallery is open: Thursday-Saturday 9am – 5pm Sunday 12 noon – 5pm. Cost: FREE Location: Wayrick Wildlife Art Gallery on the second floor of the Scherman Hoffman Sanctuary, 11 Hardscrabble Rd. in Bernardsville.
The Big Sip at Nauti Spirits
Nauti Spirits 916 Shunpike Rd, Cape May, NJ, United StatesWe will be participating in the annual, international birding event, The Big Sit! while enjoying the beautiful outdoor space at Nauti Spirits Distillery. Additionally, we will be sharing information about how our Stewardship Team is providing support to our local landowners through their Healthy Land and Waters Grant. We encourage anyone that would like to participate in this event to stop by anytime between 12:00pm to 6:00pm to enjoy searching for birds along with live music and food from Matt's Family food truck! We love you a bushel and a peck, so we've brought back a Lorrimer fan favorite! Join us for Apple Cider Press Demos, Kids Crafts, Selfie Stations, and Nature Walks with help from our community and friends, we're looking forward to a wonderful day full of fun fall activities! COST: FREE. Pre-registration is required due to limited parking on-site. IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Dress appropriately for the weather. This program is entirely outdoors. Creative Hands Club: Beachy Mirrors
Nature Center of Cape May 1600 Delaware Avenue, Cape May, NJ, United StatesCreate a unique beach themed mirror using shells and beach finds. We will provide mirrors and a wide assortment of shells. You are welcome to bring some of your favorite finds as well. Learn to create beautiful flower designs reminiscent of Sailor Valentines. Your mirror will certainly be a conversation piece in your beach cottage home. Pre-registration is required. COST: $35 Members, $42 Non-member. Cape May Harbor Beach Sweep
Nature Center of Cape May 1600 Delaware Avenue, Cape May, NJ, United StatesJoin us at the Nature Center to help clean our ocean and harbor beaches here in Cape May.  This date coincides with Clean Ocean Action's annual Beach Sweeps. This is a great community service project for your civic organization or scout group.  Additionally, we’ll plant, mulch, deadhead, weed, and prune throughout the Center's grounds and along the harbor. Preregistration is not required; however, if you plan to bring a large group, we would appreciate a call ahead of time: (609) 427-3045.
