Join us for an epic Winter Break filled with thrilling activities and endless fun! Join us for an exciting Winter Break at the Lorrimer Sanctuary! Get ready for a week filled with fun, adventure, and learning in the great outdoors! Fun activities include maple sugaring, mammal study, winter weather science and more! This program is geared for children in kindergarten through 3rd grade (roughly 5y-9y). This program will take place mainly outdoors and participants should dress appropriately for weather conditions including closed-toed shoes. Participants should bring a lunch and reusable water bottle. Sign up for one day or sign up for them all! COST: Member Child $65 Member Child 4-day ticket $250 Non-member Child $65 Non-member Child 4-day ticket $260 Please note that Lorrimer's building facilities will be going under construction sometime during the fall and winter. Join Lorrimer Sanctuary staff naturalists as we discover how maple syrup is made and taste the sweet results! Join NJ Audubon staff naturalists as we discover how maple syrup is made! Using the maple trees found on the Lorrimer Sanctuary property, participants will move through all of the steps necessary for making homemade maple syrup. Get ready to drill a spile in the tree, collect the sap, boil it down, and taste the sweet syrup! Join us after school for this 1-hour Wednesday afternoon program! Each day will feature a nature topic, walk, craft, activity, and/or story! We welcome the next generation of naturalists to Lorrimer Sanctuary for our after-school nature club! Designed to be a continuation from our Tiny Tots program, we will read books, explore outside, make nature-themed crafts, and learn about the environment in age-appropriate ways. This IS a drop-off program, but parents are invited to stay and have coffee or chat inside during the program! Homeschoolers welcome! Registration ends at 5 pm the day before each event! Nature Infused Cocktail Workshop

Join us for an adults only program focused on infusing nature into your favorite adult beverages. We'll be using some locally sourced native plants and popular craft cocktail embellishments. Each participant will craft two take-home infusions to pair with their favorite spirits and to share with friends and family! Please note, alcohol is not provided at this workshop. Constellations and Cocoa

Enjoy the natural beauty of the stars at night, learn about the seasonal constellations, and warm up with a cup of hot cocoa! Join us for this after-dark program all about the stars! We'll be looking up as we learn all about the constellations and their myths as we sip on hot cocoa during this family-friendly program. Binoculars and telescope for viewing will be provided. The first part of this event will take place indoors, then we will head outside to observe the stars. Please dress appropriately.
