  • Spring Migrants Bird Walk

    Join us for a chill Spring Migrants Bird Walk and spot cool birds as they start their season! Get ready to explore the great outdoors and spot some amazing feathered friends on our Spring Migrants Bird Walk. This is an awesome chance to see a variety of birds as they make their way during migration season. Whether you're a seasoned birder or just curious, come enjoy fresh air, beautiful sights, and great company. Bring your binoculars and a sense of adventure! This is an all ages, all levels bird walk. COST: FREE CANCELLATION: NJ Audubon’s programs require a minimum number of registrants to run. If we cancel, due to lack of participation, severe weather, or unforeseen circumstances, all participants will be notified as soon as possible and are eligible for a full refund. Participants may cancel without penalty if greater than 48 hours in advance.   • After School Nature Club (Spring Session)

    FOR CHILDREN 4 to 7 YEARS OLD Join us after school for this 1-hour Wednesday afternoon program! Each day will feature a nature topic, walk, craft, activity, and/or story! We welcome the next generation of naturalists to Lorrimer Sanctuary for our after-school nature club! Designed to be a continuation from our Tiny Tots program, we will read books, explore outside, make nature-themed crafts, and learn about the environment in age-appropriate ways. This IS a drop-off program, but parents are invited to stay and have coffee or chat inside during the program! Homeschoolers welcome! COST: $8 per child for members $10 per child for nonmembers, $80 Member Child (All Session Ticket) $102 Non-Member Child (All Session Ticket) Registration ends at 5 pm the day before each event! SCHEDULE:  April 1st: Native Plants April 8th: Seed to Flower April 15th: Pollinators April 22nd: Earth Day April 29th: April Showers!     FOR CHILDREN 8-12 YEARS OLD Welcome to Junior Naturalists Afterschool Club! Designed to be a continuation from our younger student afterschool program, the Junior Naturalists Club is meant for kids ages 8-12. During this hour-long program, we will get hands-on discovering nature through outdoor exploration, arts and crafts, science experiments, and more. This is a drop-off program. Homeschoolers welcome!     Join us in person to learn how to press flowers and create beautiful keepsakes at our Flower Pressing Workshop. Join us for a super fun DIY Flower Press Workshop where you’ll get hands-on experience pressing your favorite blooms! This in-person event is perfect if you love getting creative and want to make cool keepsakes from flowers. We’ll show you all the tricks to preserve petals and leaves just right. Bring your enthusiasm and leave with your very own flower press and pressed flower art. Can’t wait to see you there and get crafty together!
