Join a Lorrimer Sanctuary naturalist for a short hike as we talk about the native tree species that provide food and shelter for wildlife. Learn some tips and tricks for identifying common trees using leaves, bark, and twigs! COST: $10 members / $15 nonmembers IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Dress appropriately for the weather. This program is entirely outdoors. NEW JERSEY AUDUBON'S PROGRAM GUIDELINES: Effective June 4, 2021, fully vaccinated people may attend outdoor programs without masks. If you are unvaccinated, please mask up. Please do not come to a program if you are sick, have a sick family member or have reason to believe you may have been exposed to the COVID-19 virus. Learn about the stories and medicinal properties of these unique little plants with find plenty of opportunities to view them up close! Dress appropriately for the weather! NJ Audubon: Wildflower ID Made Easy
New Jersey Audubon's Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary 11 Hardscrabble Road, Bernardsville, NJ, United StatesJoin Teacher Naturalist Dorothy Smullen to learn hands-on wildlfower identification. Tired of looking through an entire wildflower field guide looking for that wildflower? Dorothy will show you step by step how to use the identification keys in your field guides. Learn the basic flower vocabulary you need and then practice some hands-on flower identification. Then outdoors for a trail walk to see and practice identifying what’s in bloom. Bring your field guide, and a camera if you like. Registration required by 5/20 at 4:00 PM. One person per ticket. You must pre-register, walk-ins will not be allowed to participate. Limit 15. NJ Audubon Fall Tree and Shrub Walk
