Enjoy a quiet morning here at the Sanctuary walking the trails with an NJ Audubon staff or Associate Naturalist. These walks are informal and informative: birds, trees, tracks, wildflowers, reptiles, and amphibians are a few of nature’s wonders waiting for us to discover. The walks are cancelled if there is snow, rain, or weather warnings. Registration required by 4:00 PM the day before the walk. You must pre-register, walk-ins will not be allowed to participate. After the walk visit our Fall Native Plant Sale at 10:00 that features native trees and shrubs. Ticket sales end at 4:00 PM the day before the walk. Diane Cornell Wildlife Garden Project Event
Please join us for the first Diane Cornell Wildlife Garden Project Event! Have you been wanting to learn how to transform your backyard habitat to benefit native species? This dual event will provide you with all the information you need to get started! First, learn from local expert, Pat Sutton, who will be presenting on the importance of gardening for wildlife. The presentation will be followed by a guided walk through Cape May Point visiting a few backyard habitats that have been certified by the National Wildlife Federation. Kristin Hock, New Jersey Audubon’s Habitat Outreach Coordinator, will be joining us on the walk to educate guests on how they can get their backyards certified.
