Join NJ Audubon in celebrating National Moth Week! If you thought moths were just small, drab, and annoying insects, you'll be surprised by what you learn about these fascinating nocturnal creatures. We will have a light station set up on the back deck where we expect to see dozens of species, big and small. A short walk through the woods will take us to a series of stations where we will try to lure in moths with a mixture of over-ripe fruit. We will also have a star gazing station where our volunteer astronomers will have a telescope set up for your viewing pleasure. This event is scheduled to run until 10:30 pm, but moth numbers and diversity increase as the night goes on, so we'll stay longer if the moths keep coming.
