Greenwood Gardens Birdwalk
Greenwood Gardens 274 Old Short Hills Rd, Short Hills, NJ, United StatesLed by Dave Hall, NJ Audubon Associate Naturalists. Venture into the garden for an immersive experience with this avian expert who will talk about the varied species of birds that visit Greenwood’s peaceful woodlands and the surrounding 2,100 acres of South Mountain Reservation’s protected parkland. NJ Audubon: Morning Walk at Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary
New Jersey Audubon's Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary 11 Hardscrabble Road, Bernardsville, NJ, United StatesEnjoy a quiet morning here at the Sanctuary walking the trails with an NJ Audubon staff or Associate Naturalist. These walks are informal and informative: birds, trees, tracks, wildflowers, reptiles, and amphibians are a few of nature’s wonders waiting for us to discover. The walks are cancelled if there is snow, rain, or weather warnings. Registration required by 4:00 PM the day before the walk. Pre-registration Required. COST: Free for members, $5 nonmembers. Negri Nepote Native Grasslands Birdwalk
Negri Nepote Grasslands 260 Skillmans Lane, Somerset, NJ 08873, NJ, United StatesLed by Chris and Paula Williams, Associate Naturalists. We'll be looking for early fall migrants passing through Negri Nepote. We hope to see Blue Grosbeak and grassland specialties including Grasshopper Sparrow and Dickcissel before they migrate for the winter. Please bring binoculars if you have them.  NJA guided nature walks are funded by Franklin Township Open Space Committee. This site is one of the first grassland restoration projects NJ Audubon has implemented for Franklin Township and is now in its 19th successful year. IN-PERSON Nature Infused Yoga

Yoga is a great way to relax, connect with yourself, and increase flexibility and strength. Explore the connections between yoga and nature in this 75-minute class. No experience necessary; all levels welcome. For ages 15 years and older. Please arrive 10 minutes early and bring a yoga mat if you have one (some will be provided.) Registration is required. There will be no classes 11/30/24. Ticket sales end at 4:30 PM on the Friday before each class. You must pre-register, walk-ins will not be allowed to participate. We are offering an in-person class at the sanctuary and a virtual class online simultaneously. Be sure to purchase the correct ticket. COST: $15 members, $19 nonmembers. We'll be looking for migrating raptors and any passerines passing through. Marvel at the spectacular views of Broad-winged Hawk kettles as they fly over the sanctuary, Bald Eagles, and other raptors. Hawk Watches are scheduled for Thursdays, September 12, 19, and 26, and October 10, 17, 24, and 31 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Loaner binoculars will be available. Note: a hawk watch day will be cancelled if there is rain, snow, or weather warnings. Registration and fee are per date. You must pre-register for each date you wish to attend.
