FeaturedSpruce Run & Round Valley Reservoir Birding
Spruce Run Boat Launch 12 Van Syckles Rd, Clinton, NJ, United StatesThese reservoirs can host lots of geese, ducks, and gulls. We'll also search nearby uplands for field and forest birds. These reservoirs are known for a variety of wintering waterfowl and up to 7 species of gulls, including some of the highest counts of Lesser Black-backed Gulls in North America. We’ll also bird the surrounding parks’ upland habitats for other wintering species like raptors and songbirds. Expect to walk 3-4 miles on well-defined trails and paths. Led by Alan Mart. IN-PERSON Nature Infused Yoga
New Jersey Audubon's Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary 11 Hardscrabble Road, Bernardsville, NJ, United StatesLed by Kristen Mylecraine, Yoga Teacher and NJ Audubon Senior Research Scientist Yoga is a great way to relax, connect with yourself, and increase flexibility and strength. Explore the connections between yoga and nature in this 75-minute class. No experience necessary; all levels welcome. Please arrive 10 minutes early and bring a yoga mat. For ages 15 years and older. This workshop will be held outdoors when the weather is suitable. During inclement weather it will be held indoors. Ticket sale ends on the day of each class at 10:45 AM. We are offering an in-person class at the sanctuary and a virtual class online simultaneously. Be sure to purchase the correct ticket. There will be no classes 4/4, 5/9, and 5/23. NJ Audubon: Wingspan Board Game Tutorial and Bonus Bird Walk

Our tutorial session will be focused on a review of game objectives, set-up, player actions, and goals. No experience necessary. Recommended for adults due to the required reading ability, strategizing, and understanding of rules. 2:30 to 3:00 - Bonus Birding Walk: After our session, join us for a half hour walk around the Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary grounds in search of bird species featured in the game. Nature Center of Cape May 1600 Delaware Avenue, Cape May, NJ, United StatesCraft a life-sized bird sculpture from upcycled cloth and become part of a crowdsourced art project! Join area writer, birder, and conservation advocate Kelly Ball to craft a life-sized bird sculpture from upcycled cloth and become part of a crowdsourced art project. Each handcrafted bird commemorates a real bird that lost its life after hitting glass. Your bird will become part of a 300-ft art project that will travel the U.S. to educate the public about bird-window collisions and you'll be part of the searchable database of people that contributed. We'll also learn how to prevent bird-window collisions - especially important during spring migration! Note: This is a family-friendly program. Adults must accompany children. Nightfall at Jake’s Landing
Jake's Landing Jakes Landing Road, Woodbine, NJ, United StatesJoin CMBO naturalists where the forest meets the salt marsh at Jake's Landing! Search for wildlife where the forest meets the salt marsh. Watch for Northern Harriers, Short-eared Owls, Great Horned Owls, and winter songbirds. We may walk up to 1.5 miles, over generally level, sometimes muddy or sandy terrain. Some trips involve walks over jetties. 4:30 pm-Dusk. 5:30 p.m. on 03/08/26 ONLY PREREGISTRATION REQUIRED. COST: $8 members, $12 nonmembers. Interested in becoming a member? Cape May Point State Park Hawkwatch Platform NJ, United StatesJoin CMBO staff and naturalists as we partner with Lower Cape May County Library for special lectures and field trips! Description: Join CMBO Program Coordinator, Adehl Schwaderer, and Volunteer Naturalists for 1.5 to 2 hours of birding around beautiful Cape May Point! With spring approaching, most of the winter waterfowl will be departing soon, so come along to track them down before it’s too late! During this program, we will be scouring the Cape May Point State Park to see what avian winter visitors and early spring migrants are calling Cape May Point their home. We will meet at the Cape May Point Hawkwatch Platform and take a slow stroll to view various ponds at the State Park. Binoculars provided if needed.
