VIRTUAL Nature Infused Yoga

Explore the connections between yoga and nature in this 75-minute class. No experience necessary; all levels welcome. For ages 15 years and older. NJ Young Birders Club-Barnegat Lighthouse State Park
Barnegat Lighthouse State Park Broadway, Barnegat Light, NJ, United StatesHarlequins & other sea ducks; p loons and gannets. We'll visit some nearby bayside spots after birding the inlet for additional species. Winter birding in the shadow of "Old Barney," looking for Harlequin Ducks, eiders, and scoters. We may also see loons and gannets. After birding the lighthouse/inlet area, we'll caravan to nearby bayside spots for more species. Meet in the main parking lot of Barnegat Lighthouse State Park. Bring binoculars, spotting scope if you have one, lunch, and dress warmly! For young birders ages 11-17 plus parent/guardian. Led by Scott Barnes and Linda Mack. Nature Explorers – Winter 2023
Lorrimer Sanctuary 790 Ewing Avenue, Franklin Lakes, NJ, United StatesLorrimer Sanctuary invites families, friends, and nature lovers to join us for an exploration of our natural world. Enjoy watching your budding naturalist ‘go wild’ experiencing woodland adventures. Children use all their senses to safely explore and discover the wonders of nature here at Lorrimer Sanctuary. Children are introduced to nature concepts using a combination of storytelling, exploration and arts and crafts. It is educational and fun! Best for families with children under 10. COST: $8 per child for members, $10 per child for nonmembers. Residential landscapes are becoming increasingly important for the survival of native pollinators and other wildlife and can be home for both humans and wildlife. In this workshop we’ll show you how to create a wildlife garden, and a simple way to start native plants from seed. You will make your own low-cost mini greenhouse from recycled materials and plant your choice of seeds to take home. Make a pollinator home for native bees to take home. All materials provided. Tap a tree, collect sap, and taste test the syrup! Join a NJ Audubon naturalist for a fun look into the process behind making maple syrup! Learn how to identify a sugar maple tree, find out how maple sap (and eventually syrup) was discovered, collect sap, and practice tapping a tree yourself! The Backyard and Beyond Exhibit
NJ, United StatesRobert Mathewson is a full-time professional photographer. In recent years, wildlife photography and specifically bird photograph has become a passion of his. His photographic journey from Backyard to Beyond will be on display at the Wayrick Wildlife Art Gallery through April 30, 2023. Artist’s reception on Sunday February 5th, 2023 from 2:00PM to 4:00PM. The Art Gallery is open Fridays 9:30 – 4:30, Saturdays 9:30 – 4:30 and Sundays 12 noon – 5pm. South Mountain Reservation Birding Meander
South Mountain Reservation - Oakdale Lot just past the Regatta Playground on the left coming from Northfield Ave side. Cherry Lane, Cherry Lane, Cherry Lane, Cherry Lane, West Orange, NJ, United StatesWe will hike several trails in search of wintering songbirds. Target species include both woodland passerines and ducks on the reservoir. We hope to find wintering birds around the reservoir, in hillside forests, and on meadow edges in this very large, well-preserved park. Led by Associate Naturalist Dave Hall.
