The Big Sip at Natali Vineyards
Natali Vineyards 221 N Delsea Drive, Cape May Court House, NJ, United StatesJoin CMBO staff and volunteers for a relaxing afternoon of fun, counting birds and sipping wine! We will be participating in the annual, international birding event, The Big Sit! while enjoying the beautiful outdoor space at Natali Vineyard. Additionally, we will be sharing information about how our Stewardship Team is providing support to our local landowners through their Healthy Land and Waters Grant. We encourage anyone that would like to participate in this event to stop by anytime between 12:00pm to 6:00pm and be sure to enjoy food from one of Cape May’s local food trucks! What is a Big Sit? Monarch Tagging Demo

Seabird ID Mini-Workshop
Avalon Seawatch Avalon, NJ, United StatesThe migration of scoters and other sea ducks, loons, cormorants and gannets can be an overwhelming sight. For example, the CMBO full-time Avalon Seawatch project sighted over one million seabirds here in 2014! Back Bay Birding by Boat on the Osprey
Miss Chris Marina - The Osprey 1212 Wilson Dr, Cape May, NJ 08204, NJ, United StatesJoin Captain Bob and the crew of The Osprey for close-up looks at secretive rails, nesting Ospreys, migrant shorebirds, terns, gulls, herons and more. We explore the coastal saltmarsh of Cape May from Cape Island Creek to the Wildwoods and view the natural wonders of historic Cape May Harbor. The Osprey is a 37' pontoon boat that has a comfortable enclosed cabin with large viewing windows, a front deck with a railing, and a restroom on board. Non-motorized wheelchair accessible. Creative Hands Club: Paperback Pumpkins

Create your own masterpiece to take home with you or give as a holiday gift for friends and family. This one's for the books! Program Director, Emily Wilmoth will guide you through creating a unique, upcycled decoration for the fall season. We will hand cut old and forgotten paperback books into vintage style pumpkins. Decorate with a combination of paint, twine, cork stems and other embellishments. Bring your own book or use one of ours! Pre-registration is required. COST: $30 Members, $38 Non-member.
