Guests will have the rare opportunity to view authentic late 19th and early 20th century taxidermy specimens up close, exploring how naturalists of the past documented and preserved wildlife long before modern photography and field science.

During this hands-on program, participants will:

• Examine historic taxidermy pieces from Lorrimer’s collection
• Learn how taxidermy developed through history and its evolving role in science and education
• Hear surprising stories from the early days of wildlife conservation
• Understand how scientific attitudes toward nature changed from the 1800s to today

CANCELLATION: NJ Audubon’s programs require a minimum number of registrants to run. If we cancel, due to lack of participation, severe weather, or unforeseen circumstances, all participants will be notified as soon as possible and are eligible for a full refund.
