Fall Migrants at the Rea Farm – October 5, 2024

Leaders: Kathy Horn, Roger Horn, Jackie Parker

Temp: 60° F

Winds: W 1 mph

Weather Conditions: partly sunny

The movement of some of our short-distance migrants was evident today as we watched many Northern Flickers and Blue Jays stream overhead and listened to Gray Catbirds all around us. We’ve started to see Yellow-rumped Warblers and Swamp Sparrows, but the unexpectedly early sighting was a Dark-eyed Junco, perched atop a tree.
