Ostrich Fern (Matteuccia struthiopteris) 

Ostrich ferns are a perennial part to full shade favorite. They are tough plants with few pest problems and over time they will spread vigorously to fill in a shaded area with their lovely bright green foliage. Deer and rabbits tend to avoid these plants. Though these ferns aren’t showstoppers with bright flowers, they can reach 2-3’ tall and wide in prime conditions and the spring fiddleheads are a forager’s delight!
