PSE&G Powerline Peepers World Series of Birding Team Highlight

The PSE&G Powerline Peepers are sponsored by Public Service Electric and Gas (PSE&G), and are a team of New Jersey Audubon staff, PSE&G employees, and independent consultants. This is our fourth year competing in the World Series of Birding, and we will be counting species along PSEG’s transmission line rights-of-ways throughout the state. These corridors cover a wide variety of habitats, including wetlands, grasslands, and shrublands, and provide habitat a diversity of bird species, including critical habitat for the state-endangered Golden-winged Warbler and other species of conservation concern. Our team will be raising funds for New Jersey Audubon’s Research Department to support this partnership and other research and monitoring efforts throughout New Jersey. Please consider supporting the PS&G Powerline Peepers and New Jersey Audubon’s research efforts!
