Spring Birding at Garrett Family Preserve – June 25, 2022

Leaders: Kathy Horn, Roger Horn, Bernie Hodgdon

Temp: 72° F

Winds: SW 5 mph

Weather Conditions: partly sunny

The breeding birds at Garrett Preserve were showing off this morning. Indigo buntings, Yellow-breasted Chats, Prairie Warblers and Field Sparrows sat up and sang for us. White-eyed Vireos and Common Yellowthroats were more elusive, singing but not seen. And though we know there are breeding Orchard Orioles here, they must be keeping a low profile during this nesting season because we neither heard nor saw any of them.
