Spring Birding at Garrett Family Preserve – June 1, 2024

Leaders: Kathy Horn, Roger Horn, Bernie Hodgdon, Holly Lemieux, Mark Lemieux

Temp: 62°F

Winds: W 7 mph

Weather Conditions: sunny

Prairie Warbler was the bird of the day at Garrett this morning, popping into view and singing multiple times. Yellow-breasted Chats have become more elusive as we get further into the nesting season, but we finally got good looks at a couple of them. There were many Osprey flying over the marsh and fields, with a few carrying sticks as they gathered nest material.
