Spring Birding at the Garrett Family Preserve – May 30, 2026

Leaders: Kathy & Roger Horn, Bernie Hodgdon, Holly & Mark Lemieux

Temp: 59° F

Winds: NW 14 mph

Weather Conditions: sunny

A male Blue Grosbeak greeted us as we left the parking lot on this morning’s walk. Orchard orioles are back on their breeding territory, and one was singing close by. The wind kept the chats and Prairie Warblers low but undeterred were Double-crested Cormorants, White Ibis, egrets, Chimney Swifts and swallows.
