Birding Cape May Point – April 10, 2021

Leaders: Kathy Horn, Bernie Hodgdon

Temp: 54°F

Winds:  SE 5-10 mph

Weather Conditions: mostly sunny

The predicted rain never arrived and it was a beautiful spring day at the Park. Purple Martins are back at the martin houses, making a racket in the parking lot. Tree Swallows are vying for nest boxes, Ospreys are carrying nesting material and a pair of Oystercatchers are cuddling together on the beach. Northern Gannets are still moving through in good numbers and we had several Red-throated Loons fly by. A few Blue-winged Teal are still around, looking very spiffy in their breeding plumage.
