Birds were seeking shelter out of the wind this morning. A Belted Kingfisher came off the edge of a small pond. A first-of-season Blue- gray Gnatcatcher was foraging with a Golden-crowned Kinglet along a sunny edge and couple of Rusty Blackbirds landed briefly overhead, giving their characteristic rusty hinge call.
