Above Par Birding at Cox Hall Creek – April 16, 2023

Leaders: Kathy Horn, Roger Horn, Ruth Bergstrom, Barry Hershfeld

Temp: 55°F

Winds: SE 8 mph

Weather Conditions: partly cloudy

Resident species were in full-throated song at CHC WMA this morning. Northern Cardinals, Carolina Wrens, Tufted Titmouse and Fish Crow were really belting it out in the warm spring sun. Migrants included Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, Purple Martin, Osprey and Pine Warbler. Turtles are on the move there, too, and both a Box Turtle and a Red Slider crossed our path with lots more turtles in the big back pond.
