Above Par Birding at Cox Hall Creek WMA – April 23, 2023

Leaders: Kathy Horn, Roger Horn, Ruth Bergstrom

Temp: 57°F

Winds:  N 16 mph

Weather Conditions: sunny

It stopped raining just in time for our walk this morning. Several White- eyed vireos were calling, with one sitting out in the open for good views. An Ovenbird and a Carolina Wren, both birds more often heard than seen, perched up singing songs that seemed too big for their size. Migrants included a first-of-season Great Crested Flycatcher and Pine Warbler.
