Passerine migration is well underway, and we encountered a couple flocks of feeding migrants this morning. Black-and-white Warblers were plentiful and we also had Magnolia, American Redstart, Chestnut-sided, Prairie and Common Yellow-throats. Ruby-throated Hummingbirds buzzed around in a few places and a couple of flocks of ibis flew over. A Green Heron landed in good view along a pond edge and a few turkeys fed in the grass at the back of the park. American Oystercatchers were at the top of the dunes, with the black tip of the bills visible on the young birds.
