Birding Cape May Point – December 17, 2022

Leaders: Kathy Horn, Roger Horn, Bernie Hodgdon, Barry Hershfeld

Temp: 42°F

Winds: W 13 mph

Weather Conditions: partly cloudy

A wonderful variety of ducks, including a couple of Blue-winged Teal, were looking quite spiffy in the morning light in the ponds behind the dunes. Eastern Bluebirds adorned the parking lot, no less than eight Great Egrets hugged the sunny pond edges and a flock of 30 Tree Swallows swirled overhead, hopefully on their way south ahead of next week’s cold front.
