Join Boarding House staff and CMBO Naturalists as we stroll on this new trail system in search of songbirds, raptors, waterbirds, migratory insects, and the changing hues of the autumn salt marsh. Each week will no doubt feature a different mix of wildlife and unique sights! No previous birding experience necessary to attend this program! This is meant to be an extremely beginner-friendly experience. Stone Harbor Point - 2nd Ave Parking Lot NJ

Join CMBO Program Coordinator Adehl Schwaderer and CMBO Naturalists to search the Stone Harbor Point beaches for gulls, terns, and shorebirds! In summer, Cape May County beaches attract an interesting range of terns, gulls, and shorebirds, and this Special Field Trip offers a golden opportunity the subtle beauty of these birds. Common, Forster’s and Least Terns are plentiful at this time, and the Point is home to a successful colony of Black Skimmers. The group will walk the length of Stone Harbor Point and back, taking their time to enjoy the cadre of common species, separating shorebird species, migrant and resident, and so much more! We may walk up to 3 miles, over sandy terrain.
