With Migration in full swing, every day sees new arrivals: seabirds, waterfowls, raptors, warblers, sparrows and more! PREREGISTRATION REQUIRED. COST: $8 members, $12 nonmembers. The Meadows, as it’s known to locals, attracts wading birds, falcons, shorebirds, waterfowl, and – sometimes – even owls. PREREGISTRATION REQUIRED.     Join Ben Barkley, Program Director, for an early bird’s eye view of the fall migration. Join us for an early morning Friday bird walk at Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary. We will survey the morning migrants from the 3rd floor observation deck and then continue onto the trails for a short hike. The length of the hike will depend on bird activity.     Early fall birding at the hook: we may encounter anything from shorebirds and terns to flycatchers, sparrows, and warblers.
