Sandy Hook Birding

Sandy Hook - Lot B Hartshorne Drive, Sandy Hook

Mid-October can be excellent for migratory songbirds and other species at this coastal hotspot. Fall birding at the hook: we may encounter anything from shorebirds and terns to flycatchers, sparrows, and warblers. A wide variety of habitats ensure good bird diversity at one of the state’s best spots. Bring lunch and be prepared for walking over flat and sandy terrain.  Led by Linda Mack, Patrick Belardo, and Chris Daly. Location: Meet at Parking Lot B, about halfway down the lot by the restrooms.
