Tiny Tots – Spring Series
Lorrimer Sanctuary 790 Ewing Avenue, Franklin Lakes, NJ, United StatesWe welcome a new generation of budding naturalists to Lorrimer Sanctuary for this "grown-up-and-me" style program. We will read books, explore outside, and learn about nature in age-appropriate ways for littles! SCHEDULE: March 21st: Seed Planting March 28th: Radical Reptiles April 4th: April Showers April 11th: Spring Scavenger Hunt April 18th: Nature Egg Hunt April 25th: Earth Day May 2nd : May Flowers May 11th: World Series of Birding COST: $5 per child for members, $6 per child for nonmembers. CANCELLATION: NJ Audubon’s programs require a minimum number of registrants to run. If we cancel, due to lack of participation, severe weather, or unforeseen circumstances, all participants will be notified as soon as possible and are eligible for a full refund. Spring Break at Lorrimer Sanctuary

Get ready for a week filled with fun, adventure, and learning in the great outdoors! Fun activities include nature art, bug hunts, and more! Sessions available for kindergarten-3rd grade and 4th-6th grade. Please be sure to pack a lunch! This program takes place mostly outdoors and participants must dress appropriately for all weather conditions. Story Time at NJ Audubon Scherman Hoffman
New Jersey Audubon's Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary 11 Hardscrabble Road, Bernardsville, NJ, United StatesJoin us for a walk to our frog pond and a reading of "The Puddle Garden." Meet at the Nature Store at 11am for a short walk to the frog pond where David Pasake, NJA Volunteer and retired Wantage Elementary School teacher, will read "The Puddle Garden", written by Jared Rosenbaum, owner of Wild Ridge Plant nursery. Learn how Bear Cub invites friends to his new home by creating a Puddle Garden. A puddle garden is both beautiful and beneficial to other wildlife species. Children and parents alike will be inspired by this story to create homes for butterflies, hummingbirds, turtles, frogs and other wildlife, using native wildflowers and shrubs that provide shelter and sustenance. Hopefully our pond will have some frogs and eggs that everyone can see and hear. If the weather is uncooperative, the book will be read inside the Nature Store. FREE! Interested in becoming a member? Nature Yoga for Little Wanderers
Lorrimer Sanctuary 790 Ewing Avenue, Franklin Lakes, NJ, United States60 minutes of yoga, seamlessly blended with mindful exploration in nature for children 2-5 years accompanied with a grown up. Our session will start with a tune-in and breathwork on our mats. Next, we will explore the nature trails through guided, sensory activities and thematic yoga poses. Each session will conclude with an opportunity for whole group connection and a peaceful savasana. Bring water and a yoga mat (beach towel if you do not have a mat).
