New Jersey Audubon's Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary 11 Hardscrabble Road, Bernardsville, NJ, United StatesEnjoy a quiet morning at the Sanctuary walking the trails with an NJ Audubon staff or Associate Naturalist. These walks are informal and informative: birds, trees, tracks, wildflowers, reptiles, and amphibians are a few of nature’s wonders waiting for us to discover. The walks are cancelled if there is snow, rain, or weather warnings. Registration required by 5:00 PM the day before the walk. You must pre-register, walk-ins will not be allowed to participate. One person per ticket. Face masks and social distancing required; please bring your own binoculars, loaner binoculars will not be available. COST: Free for members, $5 nonmembers. Feeding Frenzy
Nature Center of Cape May 1600 Delaware Avenue, Cape May, NJ, United StatesThe animals at the nature center are hungry for some lunch! Come observe feeding time and get to know our snakes and turtles. Each of our animal ambassadors can be found in New Jersey. Learn about their habitats, diets, and awesome adaptations! COST: FREE (suggested $5 donation) Limited to groups of up to 20 participants during this time. Children may not participate without an adult. Get to know the nocturnal creatures flying around the Cape May skies at night. We will set up a moth observation station, learn the different owl calls, and use gadgets to monitor bat movement. Hot chocolate will be served to keep us warm on these crisp, autumn nights! Pre-registration is required. COST: $15 adults, $10 children.
