Beachcombing the Cove
Sunset Pavilion 62 Beach Avenue, Cape May, NJ, United StatesWalk the Cove with a local naturalist and discover the gifts the sea leaves behind at the water's edge. Explore one of the area’s ever-changing coastal habitats — the beach, ocean, and dunes of Cape May’s “The Cove” beach. We’ll search the shallows, comb the shoreline for treasures, and walk along the dunes in search of wildlife. WHERE: Meet at the flagpole near the Pavilion at the end of promenade by the Cove beach. WHEN: Wednesday mornings. 8:30 A.M.-9:30 A.M. WHO CAN JOIN?: A wonderful program for the whole family! Children may not participate without an adult. Contact us at 609.427.3045 for private group tours and rates. EQUIPMENT NEEDED: Water, sun and insect protectant. Masks required. New Jersey Audubon's Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary 11 Hardscrabble Road, Bernardsville, NJ, United StatesEnjoy a quiet morning at the Sanctuary walking the trails with an NJ Audubon staff or Associate Naturalist. These walks are informal and informative: birds, trees, tracks, wildflowers, reptiles, and amphibians are a few of nature’s wonders waiting for us to discover.
