VIRTUAL Nature Infused Yoga with NJ Audubon

Yoga is a great way to relax, connect with yourself, and increase flexibility and strength. Explore the connections between yoga and nature in this 75-minute class. No experience necessary; all levels welcome. For ages 15 years and older. Please join the class 10 minutes early. Registration required. NJ Audubon: Morning Walk at Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary
New Jersey Audubon's Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary 11 Hardscrabble Road, Bernardsville, NJ, United StatesEnjoy a quiet morning here at the Sanctuary walking the trails with an NJ Audubon staff or Associate Naturalist. These walks are informal and informative: birds, trees, tracks, wildflowers, reptiles, and amphibians are a few of nature’s wonders waiting for us to discover. The walks are cancelled if there is snow, rain, or weather warnings. There will be no walk on 7/4. Registration required by 3:00 PM the day before each walk. COST: Free for members, $5 nonmembers. Negri Nepote Native Grassland Preserve
Led by Chris and Paula Williams, NJ Audubon Associate Naturalists. Join the Williams for a walk through the fields of this grassland preserve to look for resident NJ birds, butterflies, and anything else nature will be showing. Grasshopper Sparrow, Bobolink, and American Kestrel, state threatened species, are found on this site. Bring binoculars if you have them. The trails through the field are easy to walk. This site is one of the first grassland restoration projects NJ Audubon has implemented for Franklin Township Open Space Committee. This program is funded by the Franklin Township Open Space Committee. Cost: Free. Create realistic or impressionist portraits of New Jersey native birds, with the guidance of a professional artist and arts educator. Experience the beautiful natural light of the NJ Audubon classroom at the Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary, where you can look right out the window for inspiration. This group class will lead you step-by-step how to work from a photograph, establishing a base layer, color blocking, blending techniques, and details that make your composition stand out. Constructive feedback and guidance will be provided. An approachable yet structured format encourages you to follow your inner calling to make art. Beginner-friendly and open to adults and teen artists (under 18 must be accompanied by an adult; minimum age 16) interested in birds and oil pastels. Only 12 spots available - each participant must register separately. No walk-ins, pre-registration only.
