IN-PERSON Nature Infused Yoga with NJ Audubon
New Jersey Audubon's Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary 11 Hardscrabble Road, Bernardsville, NJ, United StatesLed by Kristen Mylecraine, Yoga Teacher and NJ Audubon Senior Research Scientist Yoga is a great way to relax, connect with yourself, and increase flexibility and strength. Explore the connections between yoga and nature in this 75-minute class. No experience necessary; all levels welcome. Please arrive 10 minutes early and bring a yoga mat. For ages 15 years and older. This workshop will be held outdoors when the weather is suitable. During inclement weather it will be held indoors. Ticket sale ends on the day of each class at 4:30 PM. We are offering an in-person class at the sanctuary and a virtual class online simultaneously. Be sure to purchase the correct ticket. There will be no classes 09/05/26 & 11/28/26. Bernardsville Hawkwatch
New Jersey Audubon's Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary 11 Hardscrabble Road, Bernardsville, NJ, United StatesJoin NJ Audubon Naturalist on the Scherman Hoffman observation deck for a bird’s eye view of the fall migration. We'll be looking for migrating raptors and any passerines passing through. Marvel at the spectacular views of Broad-winged Hawk kettles as they fly over the sanctuary, Bald Eagles, and other raptors. Hawkwatches are scheduled for Thursdays, September 10, 17, and 24, and October 1, 8, 22, and 29 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Loaner binoculars will be available. These walks are informal and informative: birds, trees, tracks, wildflowers, reptiles, and amphibians are a few of nature’s wonders waiting for us to discover. The walks are cancelled if there is snow, rain, or weather warnings. There will be no walk 9/5, 10/3, and 11/28. Registration required by 3:00 PM the day before the walk. NJ Audubon Digital Photography Workshop: Understanding Your Digital Camera

Learn the basics of operating your digital camera. The instructor will go over the camera controls, helping participants understand how the settings work and how changes in settings affect the image. Participants will learn what equipment can be used to achieve different effects. By the end of the workshop, participants will understand lenses, camera bodies (DSLR and Mirrorless), megapixels, shutter speeds, focal lengths, apertures, exposure histograms, and depth of field—and how all of these can be used to take good nature photographs.
