Join us for a festive holiday workshop! Using fresh evergreens, create your own handcrafted holiday wreath while enjoying hot cider, hot chocolate, and other goodies. The process is easy to learn, and even beginners leave with impressive creations. In the process you’ll learn to identify common evergreen trees by their leaves and cones. All materials provided, and you’re welcome to bring your own special decorations. This program is suited for teens and adults. Ticket sale ends 12/2 at 4:00 PM. COST: $35 members, $40 nonmembers. Instructors – Phil and Becky Witt, Dave and Cathy DesRochers, and Jack and Ellen Moskowitz, Associate Naturalists Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge is one of the gems of the eastern shore of Maryland, lying in the marshland at the edge of the Chesapeake Bay. This weekend workshop will include both photo opportunities in the field, where instructors will work with participants to capture the best images, especially of wildlife, sunrises, and sunsets, and classroom work to instruct participants on digital editing of their images. COST: $225.00 per person. Does not include transportation, lodging, or meals. LODGING: We have reserved rooms for participants at the Holiday Inn Express in Cambridge, MD. The workshop will address how to clean up an image, simplifying the image and removing distractions.
