NJ Audubon: Bearfort Waters & Mossman’s Brook Trail Bird Walk

Join Associate Naturalist Dave Oster to bird around Bearfort Waters and the trail along Mossman’s Brook. We will bird around Bearfort Waters itself then follow the trail along Mossman’s Brook. The area is rich in nesting species and the amount of bird song is impressive. This past spring we had Red-shouldered Hawk, 2 Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, Acadian and Least Flycatcher, lots of thrushes including 2 Hermit, and 11 warblers including Redstart, Ovenbird, 4 Worm-eating, 5 Hooded, 4 Cerulean, Blackburnian, and Pine Warblers. Sturdy footwear recommended as the trail is level to rolling but rocky in places. Often very buggy. Please bring your own binoculars, and spotting scope if desired. There will be no equipment available to borrow.
Ticket sales end on 5/27/2022 at 4:00 PM. Registration required. Walk-ins will not be permitted to participate.
COST: $15 members, $20 nonmembers.

NEW JERSEY AUDUBON’S PROGRAM GUIDELINES: All NJ counties are considered medium to low COVID-19 community levels. - Bring your own binoculars and spotting scopes if you have them – There will be no equipment to borrow.
CANCELLATION: NJ Audubon’s programs require a minimum number of registrants to run. If we cancel, due to lack of participation, severe weather, or unforeseen circumstances, all participants will be notified as soon as possible and are eligible for a full refund. Participants may cancel without penalty if greater than 48 hours in advance. Sorry, no refund for cancellations less than 48 hours in advance unless due to health emergencies; however registrations can be transferred to another program in the future.
