“Exclusively Audubon” Artists’ Reception and Exhibit Opening
“Exclusively Audubon” Artists’ Reception and Exhibit Opening
Photographer Robert Mathewson presents "Exclusively Audubon" at NJ Audubon's Wayrick Gallery on the second floor of the Scherman Hoffman. The NJ Audubon's Wayrick Gallery in Bernardsville, NJ, is hosting a stunning new exhibit, Exclusively Audubon, featuring works taken only at Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary by full time professional photographer, Robert Mathewson. This exhibit will be available for viewing from May 1st to June 27th. "When I first considered what to photograph for this project, categories such as Birds, or Flowers, or Animals came to mind. Any of these choices would have given a clarity and direction in creating a cohesive presentation. Then it occurred to me, this is New Jersey Audubon’s Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary. Why not incorporate all of the above categories into a theme that showcases this wonderful place that we all know and love? I set out on a photographic journey to capture some of the essence this wonderful place has to offer, limiting my shooting strictly to this property alone. In editing images for the final presentation, I had so much content that it was difficult to pick only a few selections. My sincere desire is that you will enjoy viewing this show as much as I enjoyed creating it" -Robert Mathewson The exhibit opens with a free reception on June 1st from 1pm to 3 p.m., where guests can meet the photographer and enjoy light refreshments. Located at 11 Hardscrabble Road, Bernardsville, NJ, admission to the gallery is free and open Wednesday through Sunday when the facility is open to visitors. All the images are available for purchase in a variety of sizes with a percentage of proceeds benefiting Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sancutary. Cost: FREE Location: Scherman Hoffman Sanctuary, 11 Hardscrabble Rd. in Bernardsville. REGISTER HERE
