World Series of Birding – Join the Scherman Hoffman Big Stay Team!

Welcome to the World Series of Birding Scherman Hoffman Big Stay Team!
Come join us at New Jersey Audubon’s Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary for a fun and educational birding experience on our observation deck. Whether you’re a seasoned birder or just starting out, this event is perfect for all levels of bird enthusiasts. You’ll have the opportunity to learn about the World Series of Birding and the diverse bird species that call the sanctuary home. Our experienced birder, Mary, will help you spot and identify various birds while sharing interesting facts about their behaviors and habitats. The Big Stay is perfect for people that would like to participate in the World Series of Birding but aren’t interested in traveling around the state or hiking. “Stay” on our deck and let the birds come to you instead of hunting for the birds!
Join the team for the whole day, or just the morning shift or afternoon shift. If you would like to officially join this team please email [email protected] and we will send you a registration link! Don’t miss this chance to connect with nature and discover the beauty of birdwatching. Grab your binoculars and join us for a day filled with birding! No worries if you don’t own binoculars we have loaner binoculars for you in our Nature Store!
COST: FREE for everyone! Donations to our WSB Big Stay team is suggested.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
- Please bring binoculars if you have them. Loaner binoculars will be available.
- We recommend bringing a folding chair, sunscreen, and a hat!
CANCELLATION: NJ Audubon’s programs require a minimum number of registrants to run. If we cancel, due to lack of participation, severe weather, or unforeseen circumstances, all participants will be notified as soon as possible and are eligible for a full refund. Participants may cancel without penalty if greater than 48 hours in advance. Sorry, no refund for cancellations less than 48 hours in advance unless due to health emergencies; however, registrations can be transferred to another program in the future.
