Fall Migrants at the Rea Farm – October 11, 2025

Weather Conditions:

After a brief downpour shortly before our walk started, birds were moving. Migratory sparrows have arrived, and we had good looks at White-crowned, Savannah, Song, Swamp and White-throated Sparrows. Warblers were scarce except for Yellow-rumped and Common Yellow-throats but we did have brief glimpses of Palm and Magnolia as well. A lingering Blue Grosbeak and an Indigo Bunting perched on cornstalks in the back field, and three Meadowlarks flew over low enough to provide decent looks.
