Fall Migrants at the Rea Farm – October 12, 2024

Leaders: Kathy Horn, Roger Horn, Bernie Hodgdon

Temp: 60° F

Winds:  W 10-15 mph

Weather Conditions: sunny

Yellow-rumped Warblers and Swamp Sparrows are in! It was a day to filter through them, after we had enjoyed good views, to find other things. Two Eastern Meadowlarks that perched high in a tree for a few minutes were a favorite, as we got stunning views in the scopes. Eastern Phoebes were also present in good numbers, and we got excellent looks at Savannah Sparrows. We saw a couple of lingering Osprey and a few Ruby-crowned Kinglets.
