We had a scattering of migrant birds throughout the park this morning, with one mixed flock towards the back. Purple Martins have mostly departed for their long journey south, but Tree Swallows have started to arrive and will be staging here for the next few weeks. Migrants included Yellow, Black-and-white and Pine Warblers, plus Northern Parula, Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, Baltimore Oriole, Solitary Sandpiper and, high overhead, blinking Bobolinks.
