An interesting walk today with cloudy skies, mists in the air, and a strong wind. The Least Terns have left for the season, but hundreds of Tree Swallows were roosting on the beach, along with a lone Bank Swallow. A White-rumped Sandpiper was joined by a mob of Semipalmated Sandpipers. And the fledgling Brown-headed Catbird who was begging for food was finally fed by his adoptive parent, a male Common Yellowthroat.
