A Meadows Morning
The Nature Conservancy's South Cape May Meadows 692 Sunset Blvd, Cape MayJoin CMBO naturalists for this 2-hour walk around The Nature Conservancy's South Cape May Meadows Preserve property! End your week, or start your weekend, enjoying the summer birds that nest in or visit this beautiful refuge's freshwater marsh, dunes, and beach. PREREGISTRATION REQUIRED. Be sure to check the forecast in advance and dress in layers appropriate for prevailing weather conditions. The weather in Cape May can differ considerably from nearby inland areas and may be warmer, colder, or windier so it’s best to be over prepared. We may have to bird in the rain, so please bring your rain gear. TRANSPORTATION: We may walk up to 1.5 miles, over generally level, sometimes muddy or sandy terrain. Some trips involve walks over jetties. CANCELLATION: NJ Audubon’s CMBO programs are virtually never cancelled. If we cancel, due to lack of participation, severe weather, or unforeseen circumstances, all participants will be notified as soon as possible and are eligible for a full refund. Participants may cancel without penalty if greater than 48 hours in advance. Sorry, no refund for cancellations less than 48 hours in advance unless due to health emergencies; however, registrations can be transferred to another program in the future. REGISTER HERE
NJ Audubon Family Fun Week: Session 3
New Jersey Audubon's Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary 11 Hardscrabble Road, BernardsvilleThe whole family can join in the fun exploring our natural world! This family fun day is all about nature exploration together and everyone's favorite summer camp activities. We might explore the river, look for creatures under logs in the forest, catch bugs in the field, or look for tadpoles and frogs in the pond! Each day will have different activities and a craft. Join us for a family fun time in nature! For ages 3 and up Pre-registration is required. WHERE: Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary, 11 Hardscrabble Road, Bernardsville, NJ WHEN: Session 3: July 7, 2023 - 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM COST: Non-members: $75 Adult & Child Combo Ticket; $20 each additional family member Members: $67 Adult/Child Combo Ticket; $18 each additional family member You will save money by becoming a member! Harbor Art Gallery Opening Reception – July 2023
Nature Center of Cape May 1600 Delaware Avenue, Cape MayCarla Schaffer - Featured Artist at the Harbor Gallery in Cape May! The Harbor Gallery is pleased to announce their featured local artists for the month of July. Artist Carla Schaffer will display their works for the month of July, with an opening reception to meet the artists on July 7th from 4-6pm. All artwork is for sale, with a portion of sales going to support the Nature Center of Cape May. Light refreshments will be served.
