First Day of Spring Nature Walk
Lorrimer Sanctuary 790 Ewing Avenue, Franklin LakesWelcome to the First Day of Spring - Nature Walk! Come join us for a refreshing walk through the beautiful Lorrimer Sanctuary as we celebrate the arrival of spring. Immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of nature awakening from its winter slumber. Our knowledgeable guides will lead you through scenic trails, pointing out budding flowers, chirping birds, and maybe even some playful wildlife. It's a perfect way to kick off the season and reconnect with the great outdoors. Whether you're a nature enthusiast or just looking for a peaceful stroll, this event is perfect for all ages. Don't miss out on this opportunity to embrace the beauty of spring in full bloom! COST: FREE CANCELLATION: NJ Audubon’s programs require a minimum number of registrants to run. If we cancel, due to lack of participation, severe weather, or unforeseen circumstances, all participants will be notified as soon as possible and are eligible for a full refund. Participants may cancel without penalty if greater than 48 hours in advance. Creative Hands Club: Upcycled Whimsical Birds
Join West Cape May artist Carla Schaeffer for a fun filled evening of recycling and reusing! We'll make colorful and whimsical birds in flight by cutting apart aluminum cans, making a template, and marking and cutting the components of the bird before piecing them together. Learn new skills for upcycling aluminum cans, and take home one (or more) one of a kind bird(s)! Instructor will have beer cans on hand, but if you have a preference for soda or any special can, bring them with you to class (you will need 4 cans per bird). Pre-registration is required.
