Creative Hands Club: Upcycled Whimsical Birds
Creative Hands Club: Upcycled Whimsical Birds
Join West Cape May artist Carla Schaeffer for a fun filled evening of recycling and reusing! We'll make colorful and whimsical birds in flight by cutting apart aluminum cans, making a template, and marking and cutting the components of the bird before piecing them together. Learn new skills for upcycling aluminum cans, and take home one (or more) one of a kind bird(s)! Instructor will have beer cans on hand, but if you have a preference for soda or any special can, bring them with you to class (you will need 4 cans per bird). Pre-registration is required. COST: $35 Members, $42 Non-member. CANCELLATION POLICY: NJ Audubon’s programs require a minimum number of registrants to run. If we cancel, due to lack of participation, severe weather, or unforeseen circumstances, all participants will be notified as soon as possible and are eligible for a full refund. Participants may cancel without penalty if greater than 48 hours in advance. Sorry, no refund for cancellations less than 48 hours in advance unless due to health emergencies; however, registrations can be transferred to another program in the future. REGISTER HERE

Creative Hands Club: Batik Trees
Join Susan Tarrant to create a fun fiber art project! The batik tree is approximately 10” tall. Batik fabric is printed on both sides and does not fray. Many color choices will be available. No special skills required-cutting, twirling and gluing. Learning this technique will enable you to make larger trees in the future. Pre-registration is required. COST: $35 Members, $42 Non-member. The New Jersey Audubon Photography Instructors’ Spring Exhibition will be held April 1 through June 29, 2024. The Wayrick Wildlife Art Gallery at the Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary is hosting a digital photography exhibit from April 1 to June 29, 2024. It will feature an impressive lineup of New Jersey Audubon photography instructors including Phil and Becky Witt, Jack and Ellen Moskowitz, and David and Cathy DesRochers. Visitors can anticipate a diverse range of photographic styles and subjects, showcasing the instructors’ expertise and the unique perspectives they bring to the art form. The exhibit aims to not only celebrate the beauty of nature but also inspire a deeper connection with the environment and a renewed commitment to conservation. Lorrimer Community Volunteer Day
Welcome to the Lorrimer Community Volunteer Day! Help us clean up and beautify Lorrimer Sanctuary for spring! We will run a deer drive, weed our native garden, and do light trail clean-up. Join us on Wed, Apr 03, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Lorrimer Sanctuary for a day of giving back to our community. This event is a great opportunity to meet new people, enjoy nature, and make a positive impact on the environment. Whether you're a seasoned volunteer or new to community service, there's a place for everyone at the Lorrimer's Community Volunteer Day. Tasks may include light trail maintenance, walking through the woods for a deer drive, or weeding and garden clean-up in preparation for spring. Please wear comfortable clothes, shoes that can get muddy, and bring a water bottle. Light refreshments will be provided, but feel free to bring food for break times while we get to know the other members of our volunteer crew! Come be a part of something bigger than yourself and help make our community a better place. We can't wait to see you there! COST: FREE FAQ: Do I need to stay for all 3 hours? No! We will welcome your help for as much time as you have available. Can young children come? Yes, kids can definitely get involved!
