Creative Hands Club: Glass on Glass Mosaics

Make your own masterpiece to take home with you or holiday gift for friends and family. Come for one of our favorite classes with local artist, Tina Giamo, as we upcycle old picture frames with scrap stained glass pieces. We will be making a fall inspired piece with beautiful reds, yellows and oranges. This class will be held over two sessions to complete the project: November 3rd, 6:30pm-8:30pm AND November 4th, 6:30pm-8:30pm Pre-registration is required. This is an adult program COST: $40 Members, $50 Non-members NEW JERSEY AUDUBON'S PROGRAM GUIDELINES: Fully vaccinated people may attend outdoor programs without masks. If you are unvaccinated, please mask up. Please do not come to a program if you are sick, have a sick family member or have reason to believe you may have been exposed to the COVID-19 virus. Through hands-on experiences and fun stories, children will learn how to make shelter, create a fire by friction, purify water, and harvest food. This is a four-part series, you can sign your child up for one session or multiple! Receive a free hat and discount to a future program for attending all four sessions. September 11th: Shelter Building September 18th: Fire by Friction October 16th: Water Purification November 13th: Autumn Harvest Pre-registration is required. COST: $35 Members, $45 Nonmembers IMPORTANT INFORMATION: This is a drop-off program for children ages 6-8. This program is held outdoors, rain or shine, so please make sure your child has appropriate clothing! Please send your child with a water bottle and a snack. We may walk up to 1.5 miles, over generally level, sometimes muddy or sandy terrain. Some trips involve walks over rocky and sandy area. Please bring necessary footwear, sun screen, bug spray, water bottle, and other belongings with you that you may need. Flowers are starting to bloom; insects are starting to buzz, and birds are migrating north. Each day will be filled with adventure as we welcome signs of spring through hands-on exploration, creative projects, and all-around fun! DETAILS: This is a Monday/Wednesday/Friday drop-off program for children in grades 1-5. Session A: April 11th, 13th and 15th: 9:00am to 12:00pm Pre-registration is required. Harbor Safari
Nature Center of Cape May 1600 Delaware Avenue, Cape May, NJ, United StatesHelp pull a seine net through the Cape May Harbor to see first-hand what creatures inhabit the waters. Encounter an incredible diversity of marine life as you help pull a twenty-foot seine net through the shallows of Cape May Harbor. You will learn about the ecology of our coastal waters, and about the fascinating and ancient Horseshoe Crab. A great family outing! Pre-registration is required COST: $12 adults, $6 children ages 3-12, children under 3 free. Limited to groups of up to 20 participants during this time.
