These walks are informal and informative: birds, trees, tracks, wildflowers, reptiles, and amphibians are a few of nature’s wonders waiting for us to discover. The walks are cancelled if there is snow, rain, or weather warnings. Registration required by 4:00 PM the day before the walk. Pre-registration Required. COST: Free for members, $5 nonmembers. Wildcrafting with Acorns

Learn how to turn them into nutritious flour as we crack nuts around the fire pit and taste acorn bread. Bring acorns if you have them! Dress for outdoor weather around the campfire. Using keys, field guides, Powerpoint presentations, and a trail walk we will cover the basics of identification, and learn about the importance of fungi for the ecosystem and the future. A Professional Development certificate will be available for this workshop. One person per ticket. Ticket sale ends 10/16 at 4:00 PM. COST: $75 members, $95 nonmembers.
