Negri-Nepote Grasslands
Negri-Nepote Native Grassland Preserve 260 Skillmans Lane, Franklin Township, NJ, United StatesWe’ll search for nesting grassland birds including Grasshopper Sparrow at this hidden gem. This restored grassland hosts a good variety of breeding species including American Kestrel, Black-billed Cuckoo, Grasshopper Sparrow, Orchard Oriole, and Blue Grosbeak. Be prepared for three hours of walking over flat terrain. We’ll also spend a little time looking at butterflies and dragonflies. There are no restrooms on site. Back Bay Birding by Boat on the Osprey

We explore the coastal saltmarsh of Cape May from Cape Island Creek to the Wildwoods and view the natural wonders of historic Cape May Harbor. The Osprey is a 37' pontoon boat that has a comfortable enclosed cabin with large viewing windows, a front deck with a railing, and a restroom on board. Non-motorized wheelchair accessible. NJ Audubon: Edible Wild Foods
New Jersey Audubon's Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary 11 Hardscrabble Road, Bernardsville, NJ, United StatesJoin teacher/naturalist Dorothy Smullen for an illustrated indoor presentation on edible wild foods. This will be a hybrid program offered as an in-person and a zoom meeting. Please select either the in-person ticket or the virtual ticket when you register. In-person attendees (limited to 15) will also see display items, receive handouts and go on a short walk on the trails at Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary. Recommended for adults. Registration required by Friday June 2 at 4:00 PM. One person per ticket. You must pre-register; walk-ins will not be allowed to participate. Birding the Meadows
The Nature Conservancy's South Cape May Meadows 692 Sunset Blvd, Cape May, NJ, United StatesJoin CMBO naturalists for this 2-hour walk around The Nature Conservancy's South Cape May Meadows Preserve property! Expect wading birds, gulls, beach-nesters, and migrating shorebirds. PREREGISTRATION REQUIRED. COST: $8 members, $12 nonmembers. Interested in becoming a member?
